Do you enjoy taking a walk and love to discuss books? Join the Southwest Library for a casual walk followed by a lively discussion of the book Fox 8: A Story by George Saunders. A darkly comic short story about the unintended consequences unleashed by our quest to tame the natural world.
Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Light refreshments provided. Please meet at the Southwest Library for carpool to Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake located at 3401 Hiawassee Road, Orlando 32835. If you decide to drive directly to the park, please park in Lot 2 and meet at swimming pool area. The park does have an entry fee. Per website: $4.00 per car, daily; $2.00 per driver, daily; both prices include tax. Keep entry fee receipt for full or partial reimbursement by library, if desired.

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
