Why should kids have all the fun? Come to the library and enjoy a story or activity as our talented library storytellers entertain ages 18 and up! Each branch will have a unique storytime. Be sure to check out your local branch for unique event details. For more information, please visit ocls.info/grownupstorytime. , This event will feature: Stories from a Wordslinger Part 2: Storyteller Deanna Braunstein will share stories that her mother wrote or told her that she hopes will encourage others to have inter-generational discussions about family history and experiences. When her mother passed away, these stories were an incredible gift. They contained both real life experiences, and her mothers strong literary voice and sense of humor. The event will be a mix of these stories, and helping the audience to get started documenting their own family stories. It is not necessary to have seen Part One to enjoy Part Two.

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
