Come meet JJ Dennis, a local freelance writer and artist who specializes in altered books, mixed media art, and digital photography/manipulation. JJ will demonstrate techniques employed in the creation of her art. Her dynamic exhibit focuses on color and features a collection of photographs that explore the artist’s perception of reality and love of the fantastical. The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
