Pastelón is a classic Puerto Rican dish made with layers of thinly-sliced plantains, ground meat and cheese! Gather your ingredients and learn how to assemble this delicious sweet and savory lasagna.
Recommended for upper elementary, tween and teens. Registration is required. Adults participation is recommended.
To follow along you will need the following ingredients:
Pre-cooked Ground Meat (beef, turkey, or chicken)
1 - 8 oz bags of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 - 8oz bag of Shredded Mozzarella
1 - 8oz jar of Traditional Spaghetti Sauce
1 - bag of Frozen Sweet Plantains
2 Eggs
8'x 8' Aluminum tray
Aluminum foil
Essential kitchen tools: Oven (we will be baking), cutting board, knife and mixing bowls
