Do you enjoy taking a walk and love to discuss books? Join the Southwest Library for a casual walk followed by a lively book discussion with Mike Gunter Jr., author of Tales of an Ecotourist. Gunter’s book showcases travel, from the hot and humid Amazon jungle to the frozen but dry Antarctic, as a simple yet spellbinding lens to better understand the complex issue of climate change. Professor Gunter is Chair of the Political Science department and Director of International Affairs at Rollins College.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Light refreshments provided. Please meet at the Dr. P. Phillips Community Park office building located at 8249 Buenavista Woods Blvd., Orlando, FL 32836. The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
