Celebrate World Tai Chi and Qigong Day with Sifu Al Aki. Qi is the life-force energy of the body. Gong means skill. Qigong is the healing art of cultivating life-force energy in our body. Class will include breathing exercises, standing meditation and healing exercises.
Sifu Al Aki has over 10 years’ experience in Tai Chi Yang form, Qigong and Aikido. He teaches Tai Chi at the Dr Phillips and Roper YMCAs, St Luke’s United Methodist Church and plans to teach water Tai Chi soon at the Aquatic YMCA. He is certified by Tai Chi Healthways.
No prior Tai Chi experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes (flat soles, no sandals) allowing for freedom of movement. Chairs provided if needed. Reservation required. For ages 13 and up.

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
