In honor of Native American month, the West Oaks Branch Library hosts: Understanding Our Indian Neighbor, by artist Levi Black Bear, a Sioux Indian born in 1899.
A set of 56 paintings that tells the history of the Plains Indian from early times to the present day 1961 when the paintings were completed, by artist, Levi Black Bear (also known as Levi Mato Sapa), a full-blood Sioux Indian born in 1899 on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
