Join the Southwest Book Club to discuss this month's selection Love and Other Consolation Prizes by Jamie Ford. From the bestselling author of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet comes a novel, inspired by a true story, about a orphan boy whose life is transformed at Seattle’s 1909 World’s Fair where he is raffled off as a prize.

About the branch

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
