Do you enjoy taking a walk and love to discuss books? Join the Southwest Library for a casual walk in a local park followed by a book talk of historical novels, The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson and The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes (readers-choose one to read for the discussion). These highly acclaimed books are fictionalized history featuring heroines of the Kentucky Pack Horse Library Project during the Great Depression. Print and digital copies of the book may be reserved through the library.

Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Light refreshments provided.  Please meet at the Southwest Library for carpool to a local park walking trail.  Registration required. About the branch

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
