From first cut to final stitch, learn how to create a four block sampler quilt! Students will learn rotary cutting and piecing techniques in this 4-day series for beginner quilting.

  • Class Duration: 4 days, 2 hours per day
  • Age Requirements: Adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Sewing: INtroduction to the Sewing Machine and Sewing: Patterns and Fabric
  • Required Skills: Participants must be able to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, sew straight seams and cut fabric.
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: $40 (includes class and materials fees)

We provide fabric for your first time taking this class/series. If you choose to come to this class/series more than one time, you will need to provide your own fabric.

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Technology and Education Center is located on the second floor and includes the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
