Topics range from incorporating with the State of Florida, getting your EIN number, Dun and Bradstreet number, city & county license and more! You will learn about financial responsibility, donations, marketing, leasing or buying commercial real estate, successfully running your business and/or your non-profit organization and retirement planning. Presenter is Beverly D. Burgess who has over forty years of grant writing experience. She has worked for the Department of Labor and HUD Private Section-8. She has worked with and wrote State of Florida approved apprenticeship and State of Florida Funding grants for NASA, Lockheed, Martin Marietta, JATC, ABC, Steelworkers of America, Iron Workers of America, Plumbers and Pipe fitters, Orange County, and the City of Orlando. The Hiawassee Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1962 and was first known as the Pine Hills Library. In later moves the branch became the West Colonial branch and in March 2000, Hiawassee. In early 2010, the Hiawassee Branch moved to a new home near the corner of Hiawassee Road and West Colonial Drive in the Highland Lakes shopping plaza.
