Description: From printing to cutting, we will be making decorative envelopes using brown paper bags. This is a two-part series
Week 1: Create a yarn block to print on paper. Test different prints resulting from found materials.
- Large Plastic plate to hold paint
- Paint Brushes for applying paint
- Acrylic or Tempera Paint
- Washi or Painters Tape
- Several large brown paper bags (grocery bags)
- Empty disposable cardboard Jewelry box (substitute with woodblock or stack of cardboard pieces of similar size (smaller than 5"x5")
Yarn (substitute with kitchen twine, small rope)
Optional "Found" Materials (any on hand):
- Water Bottle
- Bubble Wrap
- Lemon halved and left to dry
- Wine Cork
- Small Woodblocks
- Empty Toilet Paper Tube
- Marker Top
- Plastic Fork
- Pencil Eraser
- Small Plastic Cup
Week 2: Measure and cut and assemble the envelopes
- Scrapbook or colorful paper (optional as a liner for the envelope)
- Double-Sided Tape (optional)
