Use littleBits synth kit to explore energy and sound. Watch or build along to learn about synthesizer modulators like the oscillator, random, and envelope. Class taught by Melrose Center Fab Lab.
How are sounds made? How do you transform mechanical energy? This introductory lesson uses a littleBits Synth Kit to explore different frequencies in sound. Watch or use your kit to build along!
This event occurs online through Zoom. Please provide your email at registration to participate. A device with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. An email will be sent before the event with more information on how to join.
Recommended Audience: Kids 9+, Tweens
*Please note: No supplies needed to attend, but you are welcome to use your littleBits Synth Kit to follow along in the build!

For FY2020-21 37.2% of the total cost for OCLS equipment, accessories, and services for virtual programs, events, and classes, as well as PPE and STEM Learning Kits ($64,689), is supported by federal money; 62.8% of this project ($109,311) is supported by local money. The total budget for this project is $174,000.
