The Blues is a unique style of music with a rich history originating from African American field hollers. In a period of 50 years, it transformed into a new genre that has since influenced ALL American music that has succeeded it. The Blues has provided a voice for the voiceless during historic periods of oppression and has inspired the lyrical storytelling style we enjoy in music today. This 90 minute workshop features the history of the Blues & will teach participants how to write their own Blues style song.
