Join us for the 15th Annual Southwest Author Series - presented in partnership with The Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips. James Grippando is the 2017 winner of the Harper Lee Prize for legal fiction and a New York Times bestselling author of 27 novels of suspense, including the popular series featuring Miami criminal defense attorney Jack Swyteck. His latest, “Twenty" (HarperCollins 2021), is the 17th in the Swyteck series. His novels are enjoyed worldwide in 28 languages. As an adjunct professor he teaches at the University of Miami School of Law. He is also counsel at one of the nation’s leading law firms, where he specializes in entertainment and intellectual property law. Book sale and signing to follow the lecture. The event is free and light refreshments will be served. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Registration is encouraged, as seating is limited.
The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
