What’s kracken y’all? Learn how to use HTV, a Silhouette Cameo, and an iron to design your own fun beach tote bag! This workshop taught by Melrose Fab Lab Instructors.
We’ll be using Silhouette Studio to load a pre-made design and optimize the file for cutting on the Silhouette Cameo. Then we’ll use an iron to transfer the design on to your own tote bag! We will provide all the materials, so let’s get kracken!
Class Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Age Requirements: Teens aged 13 - 17. You must be between the ages of 13 and 17 to register for this workshop.
Recommended Prerequisite: None
Required Skills: You should be comfortable navigating the Windows OS and using a mouse. Able to use small tools to manipulate the vinyl and 'weed' your design.
Materials Fee: None. All materials are provided.

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Technology and Education Center is located on the second floor and includes the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
