The Blues is a unique style of music with a rich history originating from African American field hollers. In a period of 50 years, it transformed into a new genre that has since influenced ALL American music that has succeeded it. The Blues has provided a voice for the voiceless during historic periods of oppression and has inspired the lyrical storytelling style we enjoy in music today. This 60-minute workshop features the history of the Blues & will teach participants how to write their own Blues style song.
