Ready to become an entrepreneur? The BizKids Club is an instructor-led program that introduces participants to the world of business and entrepreneurship.

Program Basics

  • Geared towards students ages 9-14.
  • Work with instructors/mentors to create a business plan, design marketing materials and pitch your business idea.
  • Track inventory and design effective marketing flyers and business presentations using Microsoft Office.

This program is funded in full or part by Orange County, Florida. Registrants must reside in Orange County, FL to participate. In the event the program reaches capacity, priority will be given to registrants residing in the following zip codes: 32703, 32801, 32805, 32808, 32810, 32811, 32818, 32822, 32839.

*For the safety and comfort of children, a responsible adult or caregiver must accompany children 10 years of age or younger while they are using the Library.

About the branch

The Washington Park Branch serves the Carver Shores and Metrowest areas, along with the many other subdivisions and local businesses surrounding it. The Washington Park branch has a history that dates back to 1924. It is a combination of the former Booker T. Washington and Washington Shores Libraries. The two branches combined as one and opened in this current location on April 11, 1984. Although small, the glass walls on the front and back of the building create a bright, airy and comfortable atmosphere.
