Preschoolers and their caregivers will participate in a literary focused story time about Jacques Cousteau and four creatures that live deep in the ocean. Through songs, rhymes and stories children will develop their print awareness, curiosity and vocabulary through the principles of Every Child Ready to Read.

Located in a small "Florida Cracker" style building, with an appealing wrap-around porch, the Windermere branch has an interesting history that spans over four decades. Begun as a town library, it became a branch of the Orange County Library System in August 1991. The current building was constructed through the efforts and the generous donations of many Windermere residents, including those of the Franklin P. Chase Family.
