Virtual: Middle School Advisory Board Meeting

Hybrid Vision Board Workshop with Sumer Strawbree

Author and illustrator Sumer Strawbree is leading board members in a hands-on, vision board workshop at this month's hybrid meeting. Recommended for students in grades 6-8.

Board members participating virtually will attend online through Zoom. A device with access to the internet and speakers or headsets is required. An email will be sent with information on how to join.

Middle school students will earn one hour of community service for their participation in this month's hybrid vision board workshop and board meeting. To fully experience the vision board workshop virtually, participants should gather the following materials in preparation for the meeting: 

• Poster Board
  • Participants can also use construction paper, computer paper, notebook paper, or other.
• Print outs of items that represent a variety of goals (ex: travel, academic success, spreading kindness, etc.)
  • Participants can also use magazine cutouts, stamps, stickers, newspaper clippings, or other. 
• Markers, colored pencils, paints, pens, etc. 
• Child-Safe Scissors
• Glue or tape
