BOOKS, MOVIES, & MORE | CLASSES & EVENTS | LEARNING & RESEARCH | ROOMS & STUDIOS |
Students learn character roles, types, and archetypes. These classic categories help to inform the story by identifying the character as an individual and how it relates to other characters.
Whether you are writing for the stage, television or the screen, characters are the driving force of your story. Each one serves a function, acts in a distinct manner and can often be broken down into categories any audience recognizes. In this class we will learn to identify the part a character plays in their story, how characters change in their story and how to use universally understood characters to tell our stories.
