Duo Formosa will demonstrate the full spectrum of the expressiveness of both violin and piano, from the majesty of Strauss Sonata to the lyricism of Taiwanese music and virtuosity of American music.
Both born in Taiwan, violinist Huifang Chen and pianist Catherine Lan have been concertizing as Duo Formosa throughout the States and abroad including tours across Ireland. This season they will present a dazzling program demonstrating the full spectrum of the expressiveness for both violin and piano from the majesty of Strauss Sonata to the exotic lyricism of Taiwanese music, and the virtuosity of American music.

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Technology and Education Center is located on the second floor and includes the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
Per CDC guidance, people may choose to mask at any time. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask. Stay home if you are sick or if you have been in close contact with a person with COVID-19.
