Make your gift stand out this season with an easy Poinsettia gift topper! Work on your knit stitch skills, while learning to shape your work with increases and decreases.

  • Class Duration: 2 hours
  • Age Requirements: 13-Adult
  • Required Skills: Beginner knitting skills, including casting on, knitting, and binding off.

Pattern: Bernat Poinsettia Gift Topper

Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:

Yarn:

  • Approximately 160 yards of worsted weight/medium/size 4 yarn with Sparkle, (Big Twist Twinkle Yarn is a good start with metallic festive look) as primary flower color
  • Approximately 200 yards of worsted weight/medium/size 4 yarn without Sparkle (Big Twist classic yarn or similar) as bottom leaves

Needles: Set of size US 8 (5.0 mm) or US 9 (5.5 mm) knitting needles

Optional:  3 small jingle bells

Note: Basic knitting skills (including casting on, the knit stitch, and binding off) are necessary to start this project.  New to knitting? Check out Let's Knit Level 1 at www.ocls.info/classes.
