Celebrate OCLS's 100th birthday by knitting the decades with us. This month's featured pattern is The Cherry Pie Scarf by Yucca. It's a quick knit with star stitch and integrated I-cord details.

The Cherry Pie Scarf by Yucca is a quick but interesting knit.   The pattern features an I-cord cast on and bind off, the star stitch and a key hole. 

  • Class Duration: 1hour 45 minutes on March 7 (cast-on) and March 28 (keyhole),  April 4 (bind off)
  • Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: None
  • Required Skills: Basic knitting skills such as slip knot, cast-on, knit, purl and bind off 
  • Materials Fee: None.

To participate, please bring the required materials:

About the branch

The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
