Pizza, tagine, rice and beans – it’s all tasty to me! Learn how food connects families and communities and explore other cuisines through crafts and activities. Recommended for ages 6-8.
Participants will engage with their community through discovering how different cuisines traveled the world before landing on their dinner table. Participants will then read a story about a young girl’s mission to discover the best food ever, before working together with their peers and families to create their own delicious recipes.

The Hiawassee Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1962 and was first known as the Pine Hills Library. In later moves the branch became the West Colonial branch and in March 2000, Hiawassee. In early 2010, the Hiawassee Branch moved to a new home near the corner of Hiawassee Road and West Colonial Drive in the Highland Lakes shopping plaza.
