Does the idea of sewing a zipper steer you away from projects? Let us help you tackle zippers head-on with confidence!

  • Class Duration: 2 hours
  • Age Requirements: Adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Sewing: Introduction to the Sewing Machine
  • Required Skills: Students must be able to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, change stitch selections, read patterns and cut fabric.
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)

Learn to sew in a zipper with this simple and fun class on making your own zippered pouch.

We provide fabric for your first time taking this class/series. If you choose to come to this class/series more than one time, you will need to provide your own fabric.

Materials:

  • 4 pieces of 12" by 12" woven fabric
  • One 7" or 9" nylon zipper)

About the branch

LYNX Bus Link 41 State Road 436

The North Orange Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1950, and was replaced by a branch in 1964. Moving to the Palm Plaza Shopping Center in 1969, the branch occupied a 3500 square foot space there for twenty years. In 1989 the branch moved to its present 12,000 square foot facility. As the name implies, the North Orange branch serves the areas of Apopka, Plymouth, Zellwood, Tangerine, and environs.
