Celebrate the magic of gardening with an interactive storytime with Scholar Rae Chesny's new children's book Zora's Garden. Attendees will leave with seeds to plant and a free copy of Zora's Garden.
Join the fun as Rae engages children in the traditional art of storytelling. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Zora Neale Hurston, her love of gardening, and her life as a child in Eatonville, FL.
After the reading, children will participate in a planting project and leave with seeds to care for and watch grow at home! Each attendee will receive a free copy of Zora’s Garden provided by the Winter Park Health Foundation. Learn more about Rae Chesny and her work as a Zora Neale Hurston Scholar at www.raechesny.com.
