Online: Loom Knit Enchanted Flowers - Yarnfiti Project

Confident Beginner

Come loom knit an enchanted flower made with glittery yarn to make our flower sparkle. Students are required to provide materials.

You are invited to add your loom knit project to the Yarnfiti community project. This is where we decorate the 2nd floor of the Main library and later branches with enchanted forest themed yarn items.  Come loom knit an enchanted flower made with glittery yarn to make our flower sparkle.  If you want to participate in yarnfiti your flower entries must be turned in to any orange county library location by August 23. Otherwise enjoy your enchanted flower. Entries may be returned to you at your request following the conclusion of the event.

This is a Virtual Event hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom before the event from your event host.  

A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate.  

If using a mobile device, Android and iOS users must install the Zoom App (App Store | Play Store). However, please note interactivity may be limited. Additional information will be included in the email from your event host.  

• Class Duration: 1.5 hours
• Age Requirements: 13-Adult
• Required Skills: Confident beginner must know how to use the loom, ewrap and bind off.
• Materials Fee: None

Required Materials: Students should have the following materials to complete the project*:

• 50 yards worsted weight (Size 4) sparkly yarn.

• 1 super-size accent button.

• 12 peg loom.

• Loom knit Pick.

• Tapestry Needle.

*If you do not have the suggested materials, please use any materials you have on hand. At the start of class, please inform the instructor if you are using materials other than those suggested.
