O-Town Compost will demonstrate to the audience the importance of diverting waste from the landfill, and explain what happens after you throw your banana peel "away." Composting is the most simple way we can recycle our organic waste into nutrient-rich soil for growing food. O-Town Compost will walk guests through the process of mixing food waste with carbon materials and the decomposition into a humus. Lastly, worm farming is a fun and easy way to improve the condition of your soil for growing plants, and I will demonstrate how to start a simple worm bin and keep it going.
